Privacy policy

This policy explains what bekames.com collects about you, why, for how long, and how you exercise your rights under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, EU regulation 2016/679).

What we collect and why
Waiting list
The form asks for your first and last name, work email, firm, firm size and role, and sends them to Bekames when you click its button. We use them to add you to the waiting list and to contact you about the Workspace and its beta. When you reach the form from one of our articles, it also sends the address of that article, so we know which article led you to the waiting list.
Value calculator
The calculator computes in your browser. When you ask for the three-year table, your work email, first name and firm join the waiting list with the figures you entered (firm size, number of consultants, daily rate), so that we contact you about the Workspace with your firm's case in hand.
Every field of these two forms is required: without them, we cannot add you to the waiting list.
Visit measurement
To count visits, bekames.com uses Umami, a measurement tool that sets no cookie. For each page viewed, it records the page, the site you came from, your browser, your type of device and your country. Your IP address serves to find the country and is never stored. Umami recognises a returning visitor through a code computed from the site, your browser and a key that changes every month, so no visitor is followed from one month to the next or from one site to another. We use these figures to know which pages are read and which articles lead to the waiting list.
This button saves one setting in your browser, which Umami reads to stop counting your visits.
Emails you write to us
When you write to contact@bekames.com, for a security question or a press request for example, we keep your message and your address to answer you.
Technical logs
To deliver and secure the site, its host records the technical data of each request, such as the IP address, the page, the date and time, and the browser.
Legal basis
The waiting list and the calculator rest on your consent (GDPR article 6.1.a), which you give by sending the form and withdraw at any time with one email to contact@bekames.com. Answering your emails, securing the site and measuring its visits rest on our legitimate interest (article 6.1.f).

Who receives it
Only the Bekames team reads your data. Bekames sells none of it and uses none of it for advertising.
Google handles it on our behalf through the services below, under a contract that binds it to our instructions (GDPR article 28).

Umami Software, Inc. measures visits on our behalf, under a contract that binds it to our instructions (GDPR article 28).
Transfers outside the European Union
Google may process this data outside the European Union, including in the United States. Its data processing terms cover these transfers with the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Umami stores the visit figures on its servers in the European Union and the United States.
Your rights
You may access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. You may also set guidelines for your data after your death. Write to contact@bekames.com, and we answer within one month.
Bekames has not appointed a data protection officer, as the GDPR does not require one for its activity. The address above handles every request about your data.
Complaint to the CNIL
If you consider that we have not respected your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, the French data protection authority), online at cnil.fr/plaintes or by post at 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07.
Cookies
The site sets no cookie. It stores nothing on your device, except the setting saved when you use the button that stops visit measurement. It carries no advertising or social-media tracker, and serves its fonts from bekames.com.

When this policy changes, its version and date change at the top of this page.
